A tourist group of Mauritius that came on a Char Dham Yatra under the leadership of Nivedita Nathu called upon Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at his esidence on Tuesday.
Welcoming the tourists of Mauritius, CM said that the natural beauty of Uttarakhand, Himalaya, the origins of the Ganga, Yamuna and the Char Dham are the centers of attraction of people across the nation and world. Detailed arrangements have been made by the State Government to facilitate tourists and pilgrims coming to the state. Kedarnath is being made a world-class religious place. Religious places like Badrinath, Gangotri, Yamunotri, Hemkund are being beautified. Work of Char Dham road project is in progress. This plan will definitely provide more facilities to tourists and pilgrims.
They presented the replica of the national bird Dodo of Mauritius to the CM. They said that 52 per cent of people in Mauritius are Hindus and Mauritius’s culture is also similar to that of India. They also apprised the CM of the experience of Char Dham Yatra and also appreciated the natural beauty here along with the arrangements of Char Dham Yatra.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Higher Education Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Bina, Amita, Preeti, Usha, Meena, Shobha and Narendra Rana from the tourist team were present on the occasion.
