Ex-CM Bahuguna may go to Rajya Sabha

As date of Rajya Sabha election is inching closer then candidates’ heart beat have also increased in manifold. Meanwhile two names i.e. state BJP President Ajay Bhatt and former chief minister vijay Bahuguna are running in the air of state politics. Although the card is either with BJP national president Amit Shah or PM Narendra Modi only.  It is being presumed that Bahuguna has direct connection with Shah so party would anoint him with Rajya sabha ticket. In view of this incumbent chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat pays special attention to Ex-CM Bahuguna.

Sources further said that Ex CM Bahuguna, who along with eight other congress MLAs had vehemently opposed the Harish Rawat led congress regime while house was passing annual budget-2016-17 on March 18, 2016. Technically government falls if they fail to pass the budget or any bill in the house. it is being said that if state fails to pass the bill/budget which means treasury bench has lost majority. Although then Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal had managed to save the Harish Rawat government by saying that the incident happened after budget passed by the house. Later he terminated the nine dissident Congress MLAs including Ex CM Bahuguna and cabinet minister Harak Singh Rawat. Thereafter union government imposed president rule in the state and passed the vote on account for uttarakhand in the parliament.

Although Harish Rawat government resumed by an order of supreme court. After this incident congress government spent their tenure on tight rope and ultimately Squeezed to 11 seat during Assembly election-2017. During ticket distribution BJP fielded all the nine dissident MLAs except Amrita Rawat, whose husband & Ex MP Satpal Maharaj was fielded on her ticket and Vijay Bahuguna’s son Saurabh Bahuguna was fielded on Sitarganj seat, and inducted two i.e. Harak Singh Rawat and Subodh Uniyal into Trivendra Singh Rawat led BJP regime. It is being said that Bahuguna did everything to crush the Harish Rawat government and placed ultimate fielding to overpower Harish Rawat in Kichha Assembly seat. It is known to everyone that Rawat lost election on both seats i.e. Kichha and Haridwar rural with sitting MLA Rajesh Shukla and Swami Yatiswaranand respectively. Even he played crucial role in UP politics by bring his sister and incumbent state cabinet minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi into BJP. it is being said that he had also played crucial role in Gujarat Assembly election-2017.

In this circumstance Bahuguna may be given Rajya sabha seat. Talking to dainik nation state bjp president Bhatt has categorically said that it is prerogative of party high command so he does not have any idea about candidate for Rajya sabha.
