4 killed in Road accident in Chamoli’s Pokhri

A Max Vehicle, on the Pokhari-Hari Shankar-Rauta motorway lost control near Ganiyala village under the Pokhri-Hari Shikkar-Rauta section and fell into a 70 meter deep gorge yesterday. Four people died on the spot in the accident, while the other 8 injured were taken from 108 vehicles to CHC Pokhri. Where the injured were referred to the Higher Centers after the first aid.

According to information received from Tehsil administration Pokhri, the deceased were identified as Ashadi Devi wife Chaitram Dhum Singh son Maya Singh, Hari Singh son Katulu Singh and Savar Singh son Bhawan Singh. Driver Vasudev Prasad son Sureshnand, Banshi Devi wife Jeet Singh, Nirmala Devi wife Ramesh Singh, Manoj son Sudaran, Hema Devi wife Manoj Singh, Vikram Singh Negi son Madan Singh, Prisan (3 years) son Ramesh, Khushi (5 years) daughter Nagendra Singh is injured. Joint Magistrate Rohit Meena and Police Stationincharger Prem Singh Negi said that with the help of police and local people, the injured were rescued. The cause of the accident has not been detected.
