The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in the ‘Bhoomi Poojan’ program of Centralized Kitchen System for Midday Meal with the coordination of Akshaya Patra Foundation and the Hans Foundation at Suddhowala, Dehradun on Monday.
He said that the Midday meal scheme of Akashaya Patra was very good. It will benefit many children and their families. Children will get nutritious diet. This will have a good effect on their health. He expressed gratitude to Mata Shri Mangla on early consent for implementation of the scheme. She had donated Rs. 44 crore for this project. This project would be extended as needed. The government will provide full support to this project. The Akshaya Patra is working selflessly on this project.
Midday meal will be provided to 358000 students of total 3729 schools in seven places in Uttarakhand. These places are Suddhowala, Doiwala, Haridwar, Roorkee, Kashipur, Gadarpur and Sitarganj in Uttarakhand.
Mata Shri Mangla from Hans Foundation said that that scheme would provide nutritious food to the students in 40 minutes. Now, students will get high quality diet.
