State would not charge for the film shooting

In a bid to promote tourism, which is backbone of state, state government has decided not to charge for the film shooting. As we know that Uttarakhand’s natural beauty will attract the film producers to shoot films in Uttarakhand. with this shooting they will publicise state on national and international arena.

The government has decided not to charge for the film shoot. This was announced by the Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat while addressing the people at the ‘Muhurat’ Program of Hindi Film ‘Batti Gull Meter Chalu’ at New Tehri on Friday.

There is a vast potential in Uttarakhand for film shooting. Uttarakhand is Devbhoomi. There are many pilgrimages in Uttarakhand. You will have to go to distant area to know about that. Tehri has given this country a lot. Now, this is the time to do something for the development of Tehri. So, when the filmmakers expressed their desire to shoot film in Uttarakhand, the government said that Tehri should be given first priority.

The CM informed the filmmakers about the Gangu Ramola, Veer Madhow Singh Bhandari and the history the Tehri from Khet Mountain to Sem Mukhaim. Tehri has been in the confluence of Bhilangana and Bhagirathi rivers and the history of the Tehri is connected with the lake of Tehri Dam. No fee will be charged for film shooting in uttarakhand. In coming days, film industry will provide direct and indirect employment to the people of the state. It will improve the economy of the people. Tehri Lake is also being developed to shoot films
