Uttarakhand badminton association will organize the all-India senior ranking championship to be held from February 13 to 18 in Dehradun. Sources said that over 1,000 players have already registered for the tournament that the city will host for a second time.
“This is the second time in 10 years that we will be organizing the tournament in Dehradun, which is quite apt as we have a lot of players from the state who are doing considerably well. Over 1,000 players of both national and international level have already registered for the championship and players such as Kuhoo Garg and Lakshya Sen among others will also participate,” said B S Mankoti, secretary, Uttarakhand badminton association.
“Players can opt out of the tournament by February 4. This is a great platform for both professional and amateur players. We will also be live streaming the entire tournament so even those who cannot attend will be able to follow it,” Mankoti added.
