A minor rescued from judge’s house;SSP

Following an order of high court, police raided a house of woman judge and rescued a minor girl from her house on Monday. this has been confirmed by the haridwar SSP.

The police raided the house situated in the Judges’ Colony in Roshanabad with the permission of the district judge. A senior divisional civil judge allegedly harassed a 14- year- old girl from Nainital for the past four years.

On receiving the complaint lodged by the victim’s father through the State Women Commission, local police raided her house and recovered the girl. She was sent for medical examination at the district hospital later.

“We had received a letter from the High Court, stating that a 14- year- old girl who was working in the civil judge’s house was being subjected to physical and mental torture. We are now probing the matter.” Krishna Kumar VK, SSP Haridwar.

The emergency medical officer at the district hospital A K Singhal said that the victim had received 20 injuries, including a burn injury, on her body.
