Governor unfurls tricolour on R Day

Republic Day was celebrated on Friday across Uttarakhand with traditional fervour and enthusiasm.

Governor Dr Krishna Kant Paul took the salute at a ceremonial parade here, unfurled the national flag at the Raj Bhawan and planted a tree to mark the occasion. chief minister Trivendra singh rawat visited to nelong valley to celebrate Republic day with ITBP jawans. due to this reason he reached late to the governor’s high tea programme at Rajbhawan.

Justice Lok Pal Singh hoisted the flag at the Nainital High Court in the presence of fellow judges.
Republic Day was also celebrated at Rishikesh, Haridwar and other places. Many schools were decked up with banners and Tricolours.

Government buildings including Rajbhwan, secretariat, vidhan sabha were decorated with tiny electrical bulbs. on this occassion governor hosted high tea to the dignitaries of the state. during the high tea army band displayed their scintillating programme. seeing their programme visitors were catching the memorable moment with the help of their mobile.
