3 museums to be set up in the state shortly

The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat met the Central Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr. Mahesh Sharma at CM Residence on Sunday.

During the meeting it was decided that 3 new museums would be set up in the state. A museum will be set up in Pauri district based on Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali’s life. Another museum will also be set up in Tehri Garhwal based on Ganga River. Theoretical consent has also been granted to build the museum in Uday Shankar Academy, Almora. Consent on developing a Science City in Dehradun fully funded by the Central Government has also been granted. Central Government will provide 190 crore rupees for Science City in Dehradun.

The Union Minister assured for a concrete action on all issues regarding Forest department by convening a meeting with the Union Ministry of Forests and officials of Uttarakhand in the next two weeks.

CM Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the state government was working on all the environment friendly options including Green Road for Kandi road. Advice of other specialist institutions, including the Wild Life Institute, is also being taken.
