Adventure tourists team flagged off

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat, flagged off the 35-member adventure tourists team for Badrinath on Saturday at CM Camp Office. This team, which has left for the purpose of promoting winter tourism in the state, includes 4 women with 15 bikes and 05 cars; the team has adventure tourists from Gujarat, Delhi, Karnataka, Haryana, Chandigarh and Tamilnadu, which will travel by bike and cars in Badrinath and its surrounding areas. The team which went on a 5-day tour will return to Dehradun on January 10, 2018.

 Chief Minister Shri Trivendra said that Where Eagles Dare Group Badrinath has been sent off to promote adventure tourism in Uttarakhand and to attract youth towards tourism.   He said that whenever it comes to winter sports, people’s attention first goes to Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand is among the best places of India with a view of peace, security and natural beauty. He said that preparations are going on to hold Federation of International Skiing Race in Auli this month. Chief Minister hoped that Auli’s season will be favorable for organizing this race.

Tourism has immense potential in Uttarakhand. To promote tourism in the state, the State Government is specially emphasizing on developing adventure tourism, home stay scheme.  13 District 13 New Destination, Tehri Lake and surrounding areas will be developed as an Adventure Tourist Hub. The Chief Minister Shri Trivendra said that more than 23 lakh devotees visited Chardham last year in Uttarakhand. He said that in order to attract tourists in Uttarakhand, the culture village and rural tourism schemes could prove to be effective.
