FIR lodged against Ex-VC Dr Sudha Pandey

A FIR has been lodged against the former Vice- Chancellor of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University Dr Sudha Rani Pandey at Baharadrabad police station in Haridwar district on Friday for her alleged role in the irregularities indulged in regarding recruitment of 12 teaching staffs- a professor and 11 assistant professors- in the university.

Following on the complaint of illegal appointment of Professor and Assistant Professor in university, state government had ordered to probe the matter. Taking cognizance an enquiry was set up and they found irregularity in the appointment. Following on the enquiry report, police has lodged FIR against the Ex VC Pandey. This was confirmed by Haridwar SSP Krishan Kumar over phone.

In 2010, Pandey had appointed one professor and 11 assistant professors after which several complaints had reached the state government.

Bahadrabad police station in-charge Manohar Bhandari said that we had received a written complaint from  the sanskrit university VC PK Dikshit. Following on it we lodged FIR against Pandey. SI Ajay Singh has been appointed as investigative officer (IO) of the case.
