Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami along with his family including mother took a dip at Triveni Sangam during the Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Describing the occasion as one of the “most precious and soulful moments” of his life, CM Dhami expressed his profound reverence for his mother, likening her to a living pilgrimage.
“Mother is not only a birth-giver but a sacred embodiment of love and service. The touch of her feet makes life divine,” he said. Bathing his mother in the confluence of the holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati was, for him, a spiritual experience akin to a pilgrimage.
Quoting Vedic scriptures and Puranas, CM Dhami emphasized that a mother’s love is eternal, pure, and immeasurable, much like the ever-flowing Ganga. He remarked that a mother’s blessings pave the way for success and fulfillment in life, and her debt can never truly be repaid.
Reflecting on the moment, the CM said, “I feel as though Maa is blessing my life, becoming an embodiment of divinity at this sacred confluence. This moment symbolizes the essence of Sanatan culture and devotion to one’s mother.”
The emotional ritual transcended mere religious practice, turning into a profound expression of Shri Dhami’s unwavering faith and love for his mother. He described the experience as a “sacred chapter” in his life, one that he will cherish forever.
The event highlighted the Chief Minister’s deep connection to traditional values and Sanatan dharma, leaving a lasting impression on those present and serving as a reminder of the boundless gratitude owed to mothers.
