Cong receives jerk ahead of urban local bodies election

Ahead of urban local bodies election, the Congress party has received a major setback today because its former city chief Prithviraj Chauhan and its city Vyapar Mandal chief Pankaj Masson joined the BJP along with their supporters.

They joined the BJP in the presence of state BJP president Ajay Bhatt, chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat.

After joining BJP, Chauhan said that he took this decision because he is quite impressed with the works and commitment of prime minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat.

As the PM is striving hard to take the nation ahead, the CM is working hard to take the state forward. The zero tolerance for corruption in Uttarakhand and developmental efforts here made me opt for the BJP.

The BJP state president Ajay Bhatt said that Chauhan’s decision reiterates that BJP led uttarakhand government and union government are taking stern action against corruption and taking nation and state forward.

He also appealed party workers to focus ongoing election and ensure mayoral candidate Sunil Uniiyal Gama’s victory.

In his address, CM appreciated the decision of those who had put their faith in the BJP and joined the party. This will certainly boost the morale of the party in the ongoing urban local body elections.

Gama also welcomed the Chauhan’ss decision and expressed hope that now party will more better in this election.
