The Doon University vice chancellor C S Nautiyal met his counterparts of several universities based in Uttar Pradesh and invited them for the Gyan Mahakumbh slated on November 3-4 at Patanjali University, Haridwar.
On Tuesday, he met the VC of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu Arabic and Persian University, Maharukh Mirza, VC of APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University Vinay Pathak, VC of Dr Shakuntala Mishra National University of rehabilitation, Pravin Kumar and VC of Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar University and invited them to attend Gyan Mahakumbh. Nautiyal also met VCs of private universities and directors of many reputed educational institutes.
The President Ram Nath Kovind would inaugurate the mega event. Apart from the Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Prakash Javadekar, Education Ministers of 17 States are also expected to attend the event.
The Higher Education department has also invited secretaries, Vice-chancellors of all the universities, directors of all IITs, NITs and director or chairman of all educational institutions.
Besides, the principals of top 100 colleges of the country have also been invited.
Nautiyal said that the discussion on direction and status of higher education would be held during the two-day event and the country would benefit from it.
As we know that state minister for higher education Dr Dhan Singh Rawat had briefed to the media and claimed that Patanjali university has huge infrastructure which is why we have decided to organise the event there. Although this would be first such kind of event which is being organised by the state in private campus.
