Pauri Samaj Kalyan officer suspended for negligence

The officials of the Social Welfare Department in the state are proving to be an obstacle in welfare schemes. It was learned from Departmental Minister Yashpal Arya that there was a review meeting that, despite repeatedly saying Pauri’s District Social Welfare Officer, Ratan Singh Rawal did not send proposals for special component plan. The proposals for the two assembly constituencies that were sent were half-complete. On this, Minister Arya took a tough stand and ordered to suspend Rawal. He also sent an ultimatum to the weak performance officials and Directorate of Social Welfare to improve the working style upto March 31.

Minister Yashpal Arya expressed dissent during the review of the Social Welfare Department where it was found in the review of the Special Component Plan that the list which has been sent to the government, approved by the districts, is incomplete.

It was revealed that DM had also asked the District Social Welfare Officer of Pauri to send the proposal along with the minister several times. Despite that they are delaying in it unnecessarily. Proposals were sent for only two out of six assembly constituencies and they were incomplete. On this, the minister issued instructions to suspend the District Social Welfare Officer Pauri.
