Doon station to be shifted in Harrawala;CM

To de-congest the city road from traffic, Dehradun Railway station to be shifted to Harrawala. As this was discussed with union railway minister and they have agreed to do so.

Union government is ready to support Uttarakhand. They are keen to support state in laying of new railway line or establishment of residential school in 27 blocks of the state. As we know that these 27 out of 96 blocks situated on international border with two countries i.e. China and Nepal. As these blocks are severely affected with migration so we can check migration by creating such infrastructure there. Union HRD Minister has agreed in principle and assured that he would take up the matter before the board for final approval. This was told by the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat while addressing to the media after inaugurating the newly renovated media centre at secretariat on Thursday.

CM said that they are ready to support in building of NIT. He said that NIT would be divided into two campus because there available land on steep slope so we have decided to build into two places. He said that on Wednesday he met with four union ministers including finance minister Arun Jaitley, petroleum minister Dharmendra Pradhan, union railway minister Piyush Goyal and HRD minister Prakash Javdekar.
While meeting with railway minister he has demanded two separate train between Haridwar to Delhi and Ramnagar to Delhi. Although they have agreed to Haridwar to Dehradun and would consider delhi to ramnagar. They have agreed to meet the complete expense of Roorkee Deoband rail line. They have also assured that they would shift Dehradun railway station to harrawala. As part of clean environment union government has assured that they would start CNG filling station between Dehradun and Haridwar shortly.
Even they are ready to support renovate uttarakhand’s museum and for this they would give Rs 30 crore to the state.
