Cold conditions gripped Uttarakhand with temperatures remaining below normal in the plains and normal in the hills, and the mercury is set to dip further in the coming days.
The Met office on Friday issued a forecast claiming that cold conditions are likely to prevail at isolated places in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts of the state during the next 48 hours.
Met director Bikram Singh said, “The situation is worse in Haridwar, US Nagar, Dehradun and Pauri districts. The day’s temperature in these areas have plunged almost five to six degrees below normal.”
