Light rain and snow have been forecast in higher reaches of Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts, from Monday. Meanwhile minimum temperature plummeted upto 12 degree in Dehradun. It is being presumed that atmosphere would be dry for the next few days.
Attributing to western disturbances, Uttarakhand Meteorological centre Bikram Singh said that a fresh western disturbance is very likely to affect western Himalayan region from November 13 and will continue till November 19.
As per the met department weekend would be partly cloudy. Maximum temperatures remained normal to above normal in the plains and normal in the hills of Uttarakhand. The highest maximum temperature 30.9°C was recorded at Jaspur in Udham Singh Nagar district while the lowest minimum temperature 3.5°C at Matela in Almora district on Saturday.
While the maximum settled at 27.9ºC (two degree above the normal) and the minimum at 12.2ºC (one degree above the normal) in Dehradun it was 19.4ºC (two degree above the normal) and 6.5ºC (normal) in Mukteshwar and 29.5ºC (one degree above the normal) and 11.5ºC (normal) in Pantnagar on Saturday.
