Only 14 IAS officers in Uttarakhand have filed immovable property returns

Only a handful of IAS officers from Uttarakhand have filed their Immovable Property Return (IPR) for the year 2016. The filing of IPR information has been made mandatory for all IAS officers for which January 2017 was the deadline.

As many as 81 officers are working in Uttarakhand against the authorised strength of 120. The officers were required to file their IPR for the year 2016 by January 2017 and the state government was to upload these by February 28, 2017.

According to a circular of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), in case the officers do not file the information, promotion and empanelment to senior-level postings may be denied.

Further, the Lokpal rules also make it mandatory to file revised return to file the returns on time.

Among the 14 IAS officers whose IPR has been uploaded include Anjali Prasad, Om Prakash, Dr Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh, RK Sudhansh, Amit Negi and Arvind Hyanki.
