Another spell of western disturbance in UK

Another spell of western disturbances, now moving towards Uttarakhand, would bring in its wake light rain in the plains and snowfall in the hills for two days, starting from March 16.

Meteorological centre director Bikram Singh said that very light to light rain/snow has been forecast at isolated places especially in higher reaches of Uttarakhand on March 16 and March 17. The weather is expected to improve on March 18 in the state, he added.

Singh further said that the maximum temperatures were appreciably below normal to below normal in the plains and below normal in  the hills of Uttarakhand. Highest maximum temperature 25.9°C was recorded at Pant Nagar while the lowest minimum temperature 0.1°C was recorded at Munsiyari. The weather forecast for Dehradun on Wednesday is mainly clear to partly cloudy sky. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 25ºC and 09ºC respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday.
