The CBSE workshop on Classroom Management for Teachers was concluded at DPS, Dehradun on Saturday. The resource persons for the training session were Neera Chopra (Retd Principal and an eminent education analyst) and Savita Chadha (Principal, Delhi Public School, Meerut). In which 55 delegates from 24 renowned schools of Dehradun participated. The Chief Guest for the inauguration of the workshop was Ranbir Singh (Regional Officer, CBSE, Dehradun). The workshop commenced with the lighting of the lamp followed by floral felicitation.
The Principal BK Singh, the Director Vatsala Singh and the Chief Guest Ranbir Singh addressed on the topics related to classroom management. The workshop was conducted with the aim that it is need of the hour to train teachers for effective skills required for managing classroom to maximize the learning in the classroom. The workshop highlighted that effective classroom management requires teachers to have skills and clear ideas of what precisely is required to create an effective and lasting teaching &learning environment. The resource persons gave valuable tips for managing the classrooms in the most effective style.
The workshop concluded by highlighting the fact that knowledge is power and the success of a teacher in a classroom depends upon his knowledge of the subject and knowledge of his students. Overall, it was a golden opportunity for teachers to learn and refine their teaching and classroom management skills.
