Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday unveiled the poster of the song ‘Devbhoomi Aao-Uttarakhand Aao’ at the camp office located at his residence, marking a significant step in promoting winter travel in the state. The Chief Minister also launched the song on YouTube, highlighting its importance in showcasing the spiritual and natural beauty of Uttarakhand.
The song, created by lyricist and singer Bhupendra Basera and composed by musician Lalit Githyar, emphasizes the unique charm of Uttarakhand’s winter destinations. It mentions pilgrimage sites such as Panch Kedar, Panch Badri, Panch Prayag, Adi Kailash, Om Parvat, Jageshwar, Bageshwar, Rishikesh, and Haridwar, along with scenic locations like Kausani, Mukteshwar, Binsar, Nainital, Mussoorie, Chakrata, and Auli.
The Chief Minister appealed to devotees and tourists to visit Uttarakhand throughout the year, particularly for winter travel, and explore the designated winter stay sites. He emphasized that winter tourism would not only provide a unique experience to travelers but also significantly boost the state’s economy. “The arrangements for winter darshan at these stay sites will ensure an enriching experience for pilgrims and tourists,” he added.
Dhami praised the melodious composition, calling it a meaningful initiative to inspire people to connect with the state’s natural beauty, spirituality, and holy sites. The song is part of the government’s efforts to extend Uttarakhand’s tourism season beyond the traditional summer Chardham Yatra.
Officials, including Additional Secretary Panna Lal Shukla and BKTC Secretary Vijay Thapliyal, were present at the launch. The initiative is expected to enhance Uttarakhand’s appeal as a year-round destination for both spiritual seekers and nature lovers.
