Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Retd) reached Kedarnath Dham on Sunday to pay obeisance to Lord Kedarnath. He performed Rudrabhishek of Baba Kedarnath and offered special worship to Baba and wished for the welfare of the world and people. During this, he also reviewed the ongoing reconstruction and development works in Kedarnath. The Governor appealed to everyone to make collective efforts to make the Dham plastic free. District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar and Superintendent of Police Dr. Visakha welcomed Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.), who arrived on a one-day visit to Baba Kedarnath Dham, at the VIP helipad. After greeting all the officers and employees present on duty, the Governor met the Tirtha Purohit Samaj and the Chief Priest. After this, Baba entered Kedarnath temple and offered special prayers and wished for the welfare of the entire world and humanity.
During this, he also sought blessings from Baba Kedar for the sustainable development of Uttarakhand. After the puja, the Governor greeted the devotees standing in the temple courtyard and also got them cheering for Baba Kedar. While meeting the devotees, he also took information about their journey and arrangements.
While talking to the District Magistrate and the devotees, the Governor discussed about Kedarnath Dham and the entire Yatra. Called for making India plastic free. The District Magistrate was also instructed to pay special attention to this. He also reviewed the ongoing development and construction works in Kedarpuri with the District Magistrate. Appreciating the sanitation workers, team of doctors, district administration, police, NDRF, SDRF and all the people of the temple committee who are contributing in making the Yatra of Shri Kedarnath Dham smooth and organized, inspired everyone to do better work. .
