Polling for first phase of Lok Sabha election 2024 begins

Voting for General Lok Sabha election 2024 begins in Uttarakhand. Voters have made bee line outside the polling booth at 7 am as if they wanted to cast their vote before having breakfast.

It seems they are taking polling as Mahaparv so they are standing in queue to cast their vote with empty stomach like. As we know that 55 candidates are trying their luck in five lok sabha seats of Uttarakhand. In Garhwal division there is three seats i.e. Garhwal, Tehri and Haridwar where BJP has fielded Ex MP Anil Baluni, Mala Rajya Lakshmi Shah and Ex CM Trivendra Singh Rawat respectively. Similarly congress has fielded ex MLA Ganesh Godiyal, Jot Singh Ghunsola and Virendra Rawat, ex CM Harish Rawat son respectively.

Similarly in Kumaon region BJP has filded sitting MP Ajay Tamta from Almora Pithoragarh Lok sabha seat while Minister of State Ajay Bhatt from Nainital Udhamsinghnagar Lok sabha seat. While congress has fielded Ex MP Pradeep Tamta from Almora Lok sabha seat while Prakash Joshi from Nainital Udhamsinghnagar Lok sabha seat.
