Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted the development-oriented approach of the Narendra Modi government, contrasting it with what he described as the vote bank politics pursued by opposition parties. Dhami made these remarks while campaigning for Tehri Lok sabha constituency candidate Mala Rajya Lakshmi in Tehri on Wednesday.
In a critical tone towards previous administrations, Dhami remarked that they lacked the determination to make decisive moves, often complicating issues instead. He praised the current government under PM Modi for its non-discriminatory approach and cited the foundation stone laying of the Rs 850 crore Govind Ghat-Hemkund Sahib ropeway project as one of the nine gems of development. Once operational, this ropeway project is expected to facilitate pilgrims’ journey to Hemkund Sahib, reducing the 19-kilometer uphill trek to just 45 minutes.
The Chief Minister also highlighted the achievements of his government, mentioning the introduction of the bill on Uniform Civil Code (UCC), legislation to prevent religious conversions, and actions taken against “land Jihad.”
