Former municipal ward counselor shot dead in Patna

There has been a big incident in Patna again. Former ward councilor of Patna Municipal Corporation, Nageshwar Rai, was shot dead on the doorstep of his house in Chitragupta Nagar, Journalist Nagar police station. The incident took place when Nageshwar returned home after getting his beard shaved from the salon. CCTV footage of the killers has been found.

Meanwhile, local people blocked the local bypass after the ward councilor was killed. The angry mob raised questions about the law and order and shouted slogans against the police. There was a round of commotion and agitation on the road for hours.

There is anger and uneasiness among the locals in the capital after the incident on Sunday morning. The incident has also raised questions over the law and order situation. The picture of the culprits who carried out the incident has been revealed. The criminals appearing from behind the CCTV camera are seen running away after committing the crime. Two people are sitting on the bike. The driver is wearing a helmet. Whereas, a young man is sitting behind.

Former councilor Nageshwar Rai of ward number 72 returned home after visiting a nearby salon at around 11 am on Sunday. When he reached the door outside the house the criminals shot at him. After this, the criminals escaped from the bike. Locals took Nageshwar Rai to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
