After a long wait, the Tanakpur people will get access to an enhancement in the railway services from February 27. An express train will now operate seven days a week here, said the North Eastern Railway public relations officer Rajendra Singh.
Singh informed that under the Izzatnagar division of North Eastern Railway, train number 14369/14370 Bareilly-Singrauli-Bareilly (three times a week) and train number 24369/24370 Bareilly-Shaktinagar-Bareilly (four days a week) Triveni Express has had its route extended from Bareilly junction to Tanakpur.
MP and Union Minister of State for Textiles, Ajay Tamta will flag off the Triveni Express from Tanakpur railway station at 7:45 AM on February 27. The trains will operate between Tanakpur-Singrauli/Shaktinagar-Tanakpur. After departing from Tanakpur the train will also make stops at Pakdiya, Majhaula, Pilibhit, Izzatnagar and Bareilly city, informed the North Eastern Railway public relations officer.
