Ex-CM ND Tewari is no more

Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Chief minister ND Tewari is no more now. Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in an informal interaction with media persons at his official residence, today, expressing deep sorrow at the demise of Ex CM Narayan Dutt Tewari termed it as an irreparable loss for the country.  Terming Tewari ji as a “Vikas Purush”, Chief Minister said that he had played an important contribution in the industrialization of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Chief Minister said that former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee during his visit to Nainital in 2003 on the request of then Chief Minister Tewari and former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshiyari had granted special industrial package to Uttarakhand which helped the pace of industrialization of the state.

He said that the remarkable increase in per capita income of the state was a result of Tewariji’s able leadership and his philosophy of development. He said that Tewari ji was a large hearted person. Being the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, he was a guide to the young legislators. Terming his demise as end of an era, he said that the void created by his death in the politics will be difficult to fill.
