In a much awaited relief for the MBBS students, SGRR medical college has decided to remove the steep fee hike notice it had issued earlier. In a notice issued by the principal of SGRR it was stated that, “In view of order passed by
Hon’ble High Court of Uttarakhand wherein it has directed the Appellate Authority to review and fix the fee of MBBS and PG courses of 2016-17 batches within six weeks, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical and Health Sciences, Patel Nagar, Dehradun has withdrawn its earlier order regarding fee for 2016-17 batches of MBBS and PG courses.”
Earlier, SGRR Medical college had nearly tripled the fees for MBBS courses to around Rs 19 lakhs which had to led to mass protests by students in the campus.
