Union budget is dedicated to middle class

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Union Budget 2018 is dedicated to middle class. In this budget, people will get the benefit of the world’s largest health insurance scheme. He said this after dedicating and laid the foundation stone of 33 projects worth Rs 15 crores at Tapkeshwar Temple Premises on Sunday. The CM also approved the construction of a gate in Cantt area after the name of Martyr Major Dhan Singh Thapa.

In his address, CM said that efforts are being made by the state government to develop every sector of the state. Priority will be given to the schemes related to regional development. People must be aware for the development. He said that February 4th is celebrated as World Cancer Day. This day is celebrated to raise awareness of cancer. It is necessary to bring awareness to prevent cancer. The number of cancer patients in India is increasing every year. Most people between 36 to 39 years of age are suffering from cancer. He added that in India, the number of oral cancer patients is very high. Cervical cancer is most common cancer in women in India. One death is occurring in every 8 minutes due to cervical cancer.

There are arrangements for cancer treatment in Haldwani, AIIMS Rishikesh and Himalayan Hospital in Uttarakhand. High technical arrangements are also available.
