Parent needs to aware their children

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in a workshop jointly organized by State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Bachpan Bachao Andolan, Uttarakhand here in Dehradun on Monday.

The CM expressed hope that after organizing this workshop, a good policy will be prepared for child rights and child protection. The state will get good results in future. Policy makers need to make decisions keeping in view the future of children. Home is child’s first school. Parents need to be aware of their children. There is a need to emphasize ethical education to develop good values ​​in children.

The CM  said that there was one teacher on 12 students in Uttarakhand. 26 thousand rupees per year is spent on a child. The number of students was less than 10 in 2500 schools in the state and 1000 schools had closed due to absence of the students. Schools are being clubbed in order to balance the proportion of students and teachers and to provide qualitative education. Their government is trying to improve female sex ratio in some districts of the state. There is a need of public awareness to balance gender ratio in these districts. There was a need to take reformatory steps in many areas.

On the occasion, the CM also honored the teachers who evaluated the essay, drawing and painting competitions conducted by the Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Other dignitaries including State Child Right Commission Chariman Yogendra Khanduri, Secretary Vinod Raturi and others were present there.
