Army met CS to end deadlock between CMO & Army

DAINIK NATION BUREAU

In a bid to end the deadlock between chief minister office and Army, a delegation of Army officers from Sub Area (Dehradun)  met Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh on Tuesday. As we konw that CMO had lodged FIR against the Army officer on Monday.

The meeting happened in the backdrop of the claims made by the officers in the Chief Minister’s security that obstacles were put up at the site of landing of Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat’s helicopter at the GTC helipad.

The Uttarakhand officials remained tight-lipped about the issues discussed during the meeting, though unofficially a top official said that the obstacle incident was also discussed. There were also doubts if the government would follow up with the complaint lodged against the Army men at the Cantonment police station on Sunday.

A senior officer in the department of home said that the government was awaiting the report by the police in the matter.Significantly, as the Army and the civilian area is not properly demarcated, instances of the army men protesting against the entry of civilians have been on the increase. No effort has been made to sort out these issues so far.
