UK introduces tele radio facility today

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the Tele-Radiology facility based on Public Private Partnership at District Headquarter Pauri today. With this inauguration Utarakhand has become fifth state having Tele Radio service. This facility has been started in 12 hospitals of State including District Hospital of Pauri commissionaire.

Chief Minister said the initiative a mile stone in the health services sector of the State. People of the remotest areas will get treatment of every disease at right time. X-ray, CT scan, MRI and Mammography related instant tests will be provided here. Tele Radiology related services will be available in the 35 hospitals of the State. It will reduce the treatment expenditure and time.

CM also observed the CT scan report received in 20 minutes. Further he said that Tele-Radiology services would be started in remaining 23 places of the State soon. Vital Health Group will provide the radiology services in the State. This technique will ensure the remarkable improvement in the health services of the State. The initiative not only will give new dimensions to the medical facilities in hills but diseases will be treated easily through the consultations by specialists.

This technique is used in western countries in abundance. He apprised that doctors were being invited to provide their services in the State from across the nation. Applications are being received from Kerala, Mizoram, Odisha and Assam. More than 2000 applications were received from the army and others. Apart from this, Ex-Army doctors are also being invited to provide their services in the State after discussion with the Army Chief. One each ICU is being set up in every district hospital of the State.

Digital connectivity is very necessary for Tele services. Internet facilities will be provided to the people for digital services under Digital India. Frontier areas of the State will be connected with balloon internet services with the cooperation of IIT Mumbai shortly.

Other dignitaries including State BJP President Ajay Bhatt, Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Mukesh Koli were also present there.
