Chief minister Trivendra singh rawat has inaugurated the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme for farmers here in Dehradun. He has also distributed Point of Sale (POS) machines among the fertilizer dealers. with this implementation uttarakhand become fifth state, which has introduced DBT, in the country.
In his address CM Rawat said that with this inauguration uttarakhand has become fifth state which has introduced this scheme. this is a step ahead in prime minister dream digital India project. As we know that state large number of people depend upon agriculture and state government giving stress on how to provide more and more facility to them. For this soil health card is being attached with Aadhar no. With this system government will directly transfer subsidy into the account of farmers which is why linking with Aadhar has made mandatory.
This will be helpful to achieve the prime minister vision to double the income of farmers by 2022. To facilitate the farmers state government is providing Rs one lakh loan @ two percent to the farmers so that they can do value addition of their produce. He appealed to everyone to make their 100 percent contribution to realise the PM’ dream new nation by 2022.
