CM asks Power dept to earn Rs 200 crore

Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat asked the power department officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the state while   conducting  a review meeting  with the state power department officials, including  those dealing with alternate energy, in  the secretariat on Friday.   He asked the alternate energy department officials to fetch revenue to the tune of Rs 200 crore in this financial year The officials were instructed to adopt MIST  while generating power.  CM made it clear that there should be no power outages unless the people are informed beforehand  by an order from the executive engineers.

 

Whenever you need shut down then you publicise it so that people can complete their work accordingly. If he comes to know that power break down happens due to human error especially department officials then it would not be acceptable. Annual character report (ACR) of junior engineer- ExEn will be cpnsidered as per the performance of power supply in his/her jurisdiction. He reiterated that solar power project upto 5 KW will be exclusive for state residents only. For this the matter will be brought in cabinet meeting. During meeting it was disclosed that 597 Million unit power arranged throught alternate energy. CM made it clear that before making installation of solar power plant you must verify the land should be barren.

To ensure power supply you reduce aggregate technical & commercial losses (AT & CL). IN the last financial year it was 16.72 percent while this year it has been asked to keep it within 15 percent. With this check state can save upto Rs 100 crore per annum. Wherever you know that there is power pilferage then you replace existing cable with covered cable. He has aksed them to 2000 kilometer overhead local line to be converted into AB cable. During meeting it has been disclosed that 15681 out of 15745 have been electrified and remaining 64 vilages will also be electrified by an end of this year. CM has asked them to make arranagment of 8000 solar briefcase for the remote areas of the border areas of the state.

 

You study the latest MIST being used in power generation and start it in one of the place as pilot project. Uttarakhand Jal vidyut Nigam limited (UJVNL), which has generated 4876 miliion unit power this year, has been asked to generate 5000 MU in next year. He has also asked them to give emphasis on the projects, which have stalled due to dispute pending in court or other reasons, so that we can generate more electricity after completing the project.

120 MW vyasi power project would start by December 2018 and Uttarakashi’s pilgaang 2.25 MW project would complete by December this year. Chamoli’s urgan 3 MW and Pauri’s Dunaav 1.5 MW would start production by the last week of august this year. Dunaav projects is under testing procedure. State government has proposed to start upgradation work in 36 cities, which have population of less than 10000, worth of Rs 192 crore. As part of running drive against power theft department has lodged 486 complaints in between april-june 2017 and even power cut situation has improved in last quarter.
