State cabinet minister Yashpal Arya along with his son Sumit Arya and Gopal singh Rawat have joined the BJP in the presence of BJP national president in delhi on Monday. With this joining 11 sitting congress MLAs deserted congress and joined BJP since harish rawat become chief minister of the Uttarakhand. Ironically he joined when RaGa was suppose to make public address in holy city rishikesh.
As we know that Arya was running upset because he was seeking ticket for his son from congress but party denies it. Now question arises that Will BJP give two ticket in one family? If yes then how he would justifies his joining BJP? As we know that during general election-2009 he had served the congress as state PCC president. With this congress had projected dalit leader and tried to balance between Thakur and Brahmin politics
Ironcially Arya was being persuaded since nine dissidents deserted congress led state government on March 18, 2016 but he was convinced by the CM Harish Rawat then. Now dissident BJP leaders, who will not get ticket from BJP, may join congress in coming days.
