FM Premchand Aggarwal Holds Pre-Budget Dialogue in Dehradun

Under the inspiration of PM Narendra Modi and the guidance of CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal organized a pre-budget dialogue with stakeholders in Dehradun on Friday. The event aimed to ensure public participation and include expert opinions in the upcoming state budget.

Over 200 stakeholders from across Uttarakhand, representing diverse sectors such as education, science, industry, micro-businesses, self-help groups, and tourism, attended the dialogue. Participants from both Garhwal and Kumaon shared valuable suggestions, reflecting the needs of various communities.

Finance Minister expressed his gratitude to stakeholders for their contributions and emphasized the importance of a budget that addresses the aspirations of the state’s citizens. He highlighted the government’s commitment to public involvement in shaping the budget, stating, “The budget is a critical tool for fulfilling the dreams of the people. Through this dialogue, we aim to ensure inclusive development.”

Suggestions gathered during the program are being compiled for departmental review and incorporation into the budget. Aggarwal assured stakeholders that their inputs would help realize the vision of empowering the most marginalized sections of society. He also encouraged continued submissions, noting that the dialogue process remains open.

Secretary Dilip Jawalkar welcomed participants and reiterated the government’s commitment to including grassroots-level insights in the budget. Prominent contributors included representatives from the Industries Association of Uttarakhand, GB Pant University, SIDCUL Manufacturing Association, FPOs, home stay operators, adventure tourism professionals, and agricultural cooperatives.

The event also featured addresses by MLA Vinod Chamoli and the presence of MLA Mrs. Savita Kapoor, Secretary Dr. Ranjit Sinha, and other senior officials. Additional Secretary Shri Manmohan Mainali conducted the program.

The pre-budget dialogue marks a significant step towards participatory governance, with the state government aiming to align the budget with the needs and aspirations of its people.
