Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been working hard to turn India on digital mode, digital India vision is being deflated by the Airport Authority of India. At airport passengers, who are having confirmed ticket on mobile and its SMS, are being forced by the security staff to take print out.
Although passengers have confirmed ticket sms on their mobile but security staff (CISF) asked them to take print out otherwise they would not allow their entry into airport. Even aviation industry’s staff are also making bug out of it. Hapless passengers don’t have option just to follow their said instruction and staff charges Rs 50 for one print out. Suppose how much volume staffs are making a day.
For instance if an airport receive 2000-5000 passengers per day and 10-20 passengers, who come directly to the airport with a belief of PM dream digital india, has to spend Rs 50 per copy. It means 200-400 passengers spending 10000-20000 a day and staffs are earning this amount because there is no receipt of these expenditure. If you ask them then they would say this is guideline of civil aviation. Although PM says with these digital india he wants to facilitate the people and save environment too because people spends money to get print out then they dump it into dustbin. For making paper we know we have to cut trees and to destroy garbage we lit it.
