Governor appeals for Fund

On the occasion of ‘Armed Forces Flag Day’Brig K.B.Chand (retd), Director, Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation, Uttarakhand pinned flag on Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya  at Raj Bhawan on Friday.

Making her contribution for the ‘Armed Forces Flag Fund’, Governor called upon the people of the state to contribute generously in the ‘Flag Day Fund’ to show their gratitude towards the soldiers. The fund is used for the welfare of the families of soldiers, ex-servicemen and martyrs.

Conveying her good wishes to families of all the soldiers, ex-servicemen and martyrs on the occasion of ‘Flag Day’, Governor said that every Indian has great love and admiration for the Indian army. “ The Indian army has always played an important role in external and internal security and saving civilians during natural disasters and other adverse circumstances,” she said.

Secretary to the Governor R.K. Sudhanshu, Deputy Director Sainik Welfare, Uttarakhand Col Vijay Singh Thapa were present on the occasion .
