In connection with the construction work approved at Kedarnath Dham under the disaster management, a meeting of the Empowered Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh at Secretariat on Tuesday. The reconstruction works being done at Sri Kedarnath Dham were reviewed in the meeting. Chief Secretary took information about the progress of developmental works at the Sri Kedarnath Dham from District Magistrate Rudraprayag Mangesh Ghildiyal via video conferencing and in the first week of December, Chief Secretary himself will inspect the reconstruction works going on at Sri Kedarnath Dham.
For the construction of residential buildings for six Tirath Purohits at Sri Kedarnath Dham, the proposal of Rs. 262.71 lakhs was approved after examination by the TAC Finance Department. In the meeting, approval of getting this work done by the Public Works Department was also given in principle.
In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash informed that in the year 2013-14 and 2014-15, for the ITIs (Technical Education) for skill development and self-employment, under the special planned help, the government has released the total amount of Rs. 50 crores. He also proposed to transfer the remaining amount of Rs. 385.96 lakh to the Tourism Department for infrastructure development works.
