Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated 66th National Conference of Anatomical Society of India at AIIMS Rishikesh by lighting the traditional lamp on Monday. On this occasion, he also released the book “Netcon-66”. Commendable work done by those from Anatomical Society of India in various fields were also honoured.
Chief Minister said that experts from Anatomy, from different parts of the country and abroad, will share their experiences with each other in the conference organized at AIIMS, which will become a strong ground for the improvement of medical services in the coming days. Students, who are studying medical education, will be able to learn a lot from these experts. He hoped that this conference will benefit the prospective physicians. Lectures on various subjects related to medicine are being delivered in Anatomy Department, AIIMS Rishikesh. It is a matter of happiness that over 400 research papers are being presented on various subjects related to medicine in this conference.
Chief Minister said that along with better medical facilities, many courses related to medical treatment are being conducted in AIIMS Rishikesh. AIIMS Rishikesh is progressing fast. As a result, the pressure on AIIMS Delhi has come down by 30 per cent. Today, there are 900 beds available for patients in AIIMS. He hoped that after undertaking the training from AIIMS, the students will go to the different parts across the country and make AIIMS proud.
On this occasion MLA Khajan Dass, Director of AIIMS Prof. Ravi Kant, Prof. Surekha Kishore, Prof. Vijendra Singh, Prof. Surjit Ghatak, Prof. GS Longia etc. were present.
