Believe it or but this is true that BJP has been trying to sail its election yacht with the help of migrant voters. As we know that government had issued notification for the holiday of the year 2018 in December 2017 and they did not mention Chhath puja as holiday list.
As Dehradun mayor election has become prestige issue for the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat because he overlooked other contender and fielded Sunil Uniyal alias Gama. As we know plain areas are having large number of plain population especially Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. In view of this they have invited Bhojpuri film Actor turned politician and Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari for canvassing. This ascertains because they have not mentioned two former chief minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on star campaigner list.
Today they have issued notification for leave and declared Chhath as guzzetted holiday. Coincidentally Congress despite knowing the facts that BJP led Uttarakhand government has violated the election code of conduct but they could not muster to raise the issue before state election commission.
