Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Dehradun on the occasion of international Yoga Day, Secretary, Ayush Department, Union Government, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, held a courtesy meeting with Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat at his residence on Monday.
Kotecha held discussions with the CM regarding the visit of the PM Modi to Dehradun on coming June 21 and preparations of the Yoga Day. CM said that on the occasion of the International Yoga Day, the visit of the Prime Minister to Dehradun is a very proud occasion for the people of Uttarakhand. He said that efforts would be made in the direction that more and more number of people should attend the coming Yoga Day. On this occasion, “Walk For Yoga” would be organized, in which there would be participation of officers of the government-administration, ministers and MLAs.
Along with it, efforts would be made to ensure the participation of institutes of the state associated with Yoga, educational institutions, students, government and Non Government Organizations and all the sections of the society. CM said that special emphasis would have to be laid on the mass awareness regarding the Yoga Day programme. He said that in this campaign broadcast, the role of the media would be very significant.
