Uttarakhand government had ordered a few days ago to all the CBSE schools to introduce NCERT books from the coming academic session. The Chief Minister’s mobile app, CM’s Face book page and twitter account received several complaints from the parents that some schools are forcing them to buy additional books along with NCERT books.
The Chief Minister’s office had instructed the District Education Officer, Dehradun to open a control room in the office of the District Education Officer for lodging complaints against the arbitrary acts of certain schools in this regard. The District Education Officer has released the mobile numbers 9412403037, 9412973903 and e-mail address- deo.dehradun.dir@gmail.com for lodging the complaints by the parents.
The District Education Officer has informed that keeping in view the rush of such complaints and for the convenience of parents more mobile numbers have been added for the complaint service. They are- 9412973905, 9410558596 and landline number 0135-2787028.
