No tax for next 10 years

Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Rs.1500 crore have been given to the Municipal Corporations. 2000 personnel will also be recruited in the municipal bodies, which will be known as paryavaran mitra and other staff. No tax (home tax) will be taken from new areas which have been included in the municipal bodies, for the next 10 years. He expressed these views after inaugurating 22 projects of Rs. 68 crore 23 lakh, and also laid foundation stone for 10 schemes of Rs. 33 crore 66 lakh falling under Raipur assembly constituency at a function held at Raipur block building in Dehradun on Tuesday.

CM Rawat apprised to the general public that 2.5 lakh saplings will be planted on the banks of river Rispana with the extensive public participation under Rsipana to Rishiparna Mission. Reviving the rivers Kosi and Rispana is the priority of state government. Thirty percent fruit trees out of the 2.5 lakh plants, which will be planted from Landhore from where Rispana originates, to Rajpur. Most of the saplings to be planted will be of the kind, which will be helpful in improving the ground water level. Maximum number of people should help in planting saplings on that day. This campaign can be made successful only with active public participation. 

Chief Minister said that this time the assembly session held in Gairsain Vidhan Sabha was historic and important.  Budget session is most important in determining the direction of future economic and social development of the state. In this budget, there is a massive participation of the youth, soldiers, farmers and women of the state. This budget is a fully inclusive budget, and will ensure all-round development of the state.

CM reiterated that mere announcements should not be made by people’s representatives but the schemes should be effectively implemented on the ground. People’s representatives will have to follow/show firm commitment towards general public. Trust should be maintained between public and the state government. Every announcement made, will be completed by the government within next four years.
