IT department finds diamonds worth Rs 1 crore worth with Uttarakhand IAS officer

An IAS officer from Uttarakhand is on the radar of the Income Tax Department. As per information the officer has got assets worth more than Rs 16 crore and diamonds worth Rs one crore. Income tax has also completed the primary investigation. Now the senior officials will be allowed for further action.

According to sources in the income tax department, there is a deep connection with the UP Manufacturing Corporation contractor and the IAS officer, posted as Additional Secretary in the Uttarakhand government.It has been reported that the family of the IAS officer also has some stake in the firm. Last year, when Income Tax had taken action against the officers and contractors of construction corporation, the case of an IAS officer was found in the case. After this, income tax started the primary investigation against the IAS officer.

It is being told that the officer has been found to have assets worth more than Rs. 16 crore in investigations. Many property was also acquired on the names of the families of the officer. The contractor attached to the officer’s department has given lakhs of rupees to his family in accounts. However, during the inspection of income tax, it was told that this amount has been taken in debt. In the investigation, it has been found that the IAS officer has diamonds worth nearly Rs one crore.

The Income Tax has sent the primary inquiry report to the high officials. If sources are to be believed then further action is taken on the basis of the facts of the report, then many benami properties will be revealed.
