Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Trivendra Singh Rawat said that youths should come forward in a large number to join Indian defence forces. CM has praised the Indo-Tibetan Border Police role in safeguarding country’s frontiers. He has also appreciated their role in assisting in the conduct of Char Dham yatra in the state. He said the ITBP was a big source of motivation for the youngsters.
The ITBP’s role was unparalleled when it comes to Uttarakhand in the conduct of Char Dham yatra and also in the case of exigencies and natural calamities. ITBP personnel are playing a pivotal role in safeguarding our geographical boundaries. He expressed these views while addressing to them as a chief guest in a tattoo show-2018 “Himalaya-ke-Veer” organised by ITBP at Police Line Race Course in Dehradun on Tuesday.
CM Rawat said that function would definitely motivate young blood to come forward to join para-military forces like ITBP.
The march past, Himveer daredevil motorcycle display, rifle drill, silent drill, women pipe band, brass band etc. were centre of attraction during the function. The artists performed different kinds of folk dances and songs which include yalk dance, Ladakh Jabro dance, Kinoori Nati, Shimla Nati, Kumaoni, Bedo Pako, Lapcha, Bihu, Bambo and Galo dance during the function.
Minister of State Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, MLAs Khajan Das, Ganesh Joshi, Munna Singh Chauhan, Subodh Uniyal etc. were present.
