A delegation of Uttarakhand Congress led by state PCC ppresident Pritam Singh met Governor KK Paul today accusing the state government of neglecting the issues concerning the people of the state.
While submitting a memorandum to the Governor at Raj Bhawan, the Congress delegation alleged that congress MLAs are being sidelined by the incumbent government. Citing an incident linked to Congress Dharchula MLA Harish Dhami, the Congress leaders held that Dhami had sought time from CEO Dharchula for convening a review meeting linked to progress of development works being carried out in his constituency, which was denied by the officer outright, least caring for the honour of a public representative.
Pritam held that the government should organise a meeting comprising government officials and the farmers, whose land had been acquired for the All-Weather Roads Char Dham project so that adequate compensation is given to them.
He further held that Kalluwala that falls in Doiwala Assembly has been included in the Doiwala Municipal Council, which is being opposed tooth and nail by the inhabitants. “Kalluwala is at a distance of nine kilometers from Doiwala and is also isolated from Doiwala due to heavy forest area and thus the inhabitants have a genuine concern”, the memorandum held.
