Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has called upon the migrants of Uttarakhand through a letter to take part in overall development of Uttarakhand. He appealed to all natives of Uttarakhand living abroad to come together under one umbrella to work for overall development of the state.
He said that it was a matter of pride for him that despite making foreign countries their place of work and residence and adapting their culture-tradition, they have not forgotten their roots. The spirit of Uttarakhand is still alive inside them. The rich culture, traditions and heritage of Devbhoomi which they have inherited, still flourishes inside them.
He said that Uttarakhand has completed its 17 years of existence. Uttarakhand is taking strong steps towards sustainable growth and development, but there are some challenges due to the tough topography and remoteness of Hilly region when it comes to providing basic facilities and amenities. He said that in November 2017, the state government was able to bring luminaries from Uttarakhand who have excelled in various fields on one platform through “Raibaar”. It helped us moving towards a positive narrative to work together towards making Uttarakhand a developed State.
The CM Trivendra appealed them to inform him that what were the opportunities and challenges they seen in Uttarakhand’s growth. How they can collaborate and cooperate in various fields like tourism, agriculture, horticulture, food processing and other sectors to write a new phase of Uttarakhand’s progress. Their valuable thoughts, ideas and suggestions will help the Uttarakhand.
The CM said that he took pride in announcing that they all were true Brand Ambassadors of Uttarakhand. They are instrumental in keeping the spirit of Uttarakhand alive overseas.
