Government hospitals have announced a hike of 10 per cent in user fee in the state. The 10 per cent hike will be levied as basic surcharge on all diagnostic tests and registration fees. The Director General of Health and Medical Dr Archana Srivastav said the rates had been increased in all hospitals based on the 2010 government order.
As a result, different diagnostic tests such as blood sugar, haemoglobin, ultrasound, x-ray, physiotherapy etc will cost more.
Now according to the 10 per cent hike, the ultrasound will cost around Rs 428, last year it was around Rs 389.
The cost of x-ray has been pegged at Rs 140, it was Rs 136 last year. The registration fee has been raised to Rs 21, last year it was Rs 19. The ECG will cost around Rs 108, last year it was Rs 98.
